What Lies Inside (Blood Bound, #1)What Lies Inside by J.L. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Favourite scene …. When Amelia demands to know who was the drunken girl Ty was helping. This was so realistic, it made me smile. Vampire or not, the curiosity tinged with jealousy is something we all feel. It was easy to relate with most of the characters because of this, their emotions were what anyone feels.

Favourite quote … Those you trust most are not always what they seem. When Amelia discovers there is more to Kendrick than she initially thought, this quote made it clear that something else was being planned or happening in the background which would complicate Amelia’s situation even more.

How did the pacing of the story feel? This was an intriguing story about a young girl who is a vampire. Overall, the pacing was good but I felt there were some inconsistencies where pacing was concerned. One minute it’s move, move and then the next it drags. It also seemed as if some situations were too convenient.
