Author Interview – Ernest Dempsey


How do you promote this book? I do very little promotion. I promote my blog, and therein, the book. But I rarely tell people to buy anything. I did a little bit with my subscribers and Facebook followers but other than that, not much promo.

Will you write others in this same genre? Yep. Sequel to this one is coming around the holidays.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp? Believe in yourself and you can do amazing things.

How much of the book is realistic? 67.3%

Have you included a lot of your life experiences, even friends, in the plot? Not really.

How important do you think villains are in a story? Uber important. You have to have a villain or there is really nothing going on. And they need to be a really bad person.

What are your goals as a writer? To write full time. To write the best books possible. And to always entertain my audience.

Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)? Nope.

What books have most influenced your life? Davinci Code, Count of Monte Cristo

Who is your favorite author and why? Steve Berry. He writes great action, incorporates unknown history, has amazing characters, and plots are outstanding.

Can we expect any more books from you in the future? Yes. At least 20.

Have you started another book yet? Yep.

Where do you see yourself in five years? On the back porch, writing another book.

What are your current writing projects now? The next Sean Wyatt book and the follow up to The Dream Rider.
